Syracuse women’s rowing stayed at No. 10 in this week’s Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association poll.

This comes after a disappointing performance at the Lake Wheeler Invitational last weekend, where SU competed against five top-20 teams. In 15 races, the Orange finished first in two races, second in nine and third in four.

The varsity 8 and the second varsity 8 were the only SU boats to win races, with the V8 beating No. 11 Penn by two seconds and the 2V8 defeating No. 16 Duke by two. Though, the Orange were bested by No. 5 Tennessee in all 10 races of their races.

This led Syracuse to finish fourth in the Pocock Cup standings behind Tennessee, Duke and UCF. SU claimed second place at last year’s invite, only two points behind the Blue Devils.

Syracuse will race next at the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship from May 17 to 18 on Lake Wheeler, where it will try and capture its first conference title in program history.
